Participation in Maritime Environmental Response and Search and Rescue

When a foreign state vessel intends to participate in response and search-and-rescue exercises or operations or train for such activities in Swedish sea territory, permission to enter is needed. 

The Swedish Coast Guard is responsible for applying for necessary permits for vessels taking part in response and search-and-rescue exercises or operations.

In cases of emergency, contact should be taken with the Swedish Coast Guard Command Centre who will assist with the request and needed permissions.
